It's Been Many Moons...
Okay, so I have been a complete slacker! There has been so much that has happened over the last few months.. the last year to be exact. I have been going through some major life changes. Ive grown up quite a bit and started to realize that I need change.. need to change something in order to push myself to reach a potential I have not yet realized.

Hooch and I separate for what became 5 months... only to get back together to break up again in Feb 2011... sad losing my best friend. I am currently going through this major change as we speak so I am completely depressed.. miserable.. eating way more than my share just to deal with it all.. so hard.. she's my best friend. I love her so much. We just aren't happy. I feel as though she's been holding me back for too long now. I need to do other things in my life, and she is not supportive of my goals. She does not tell me the things I need to hear. She cuts me down to size and says things only to hurt me. I have always struggled with self-esteem, and she knows just what to say to keep me feeling so ugly... so dumb.. so stupid.. so worthless. It's time I take a step back and realize that I am not those things. I am human just like everyone else, therefore I have beauty that resides in my body.. in my soul. I need to find someone that encourages me.. someone that tells me that I look beautiful...

Grandma Butler passes away unexpectedly. She was elderly, and she had been in the hospital, but she was dismissed to go home the day she passed away. Granny Goose and her sister's ran to her house to clean up and get it ready for her homecoming. Once they got back to the hospital, it appeared that Grandma Butler had left us. This definitely took a toll on Granny and her sisters.

Become good friends (and by friends I mean that I fall madly in love) with Whitney Nelson, after years and years of drama. Sparks even more drama between our gfs because we become so close. Our gfs do everything they can to keep us apart, but we are much too fond of each others' presence. I know that I have feelings for her already.

Nicole finally separates from David... and this time we think it's for real. She lived with mom for many months... but the final kicker that made me believe this was it was when she buys a new home

Whitney asks me to be her girlfriend (6.26.11), but we have a very turbulent road before things feel settled. By that, I mean months and months. It isn't until now (May 2012) that things are starting to feel right. I feel like Whit is starting to give up Brie. I feel that now, maybe now, we can have that start we've always needed.
Summer spent with Whitney Nelson.. waking up to her each morning, whether it be at my place or hers. We go to almost every concert series on the scoot and ride clear to Kearns afterwards.
Trip to Vegas. Whit and I drive down to Sin City. Jen Billings flies in on our second night. We spend the rest of the time partying, walking, and doing the Vegas scene.

Summer ends with Whitney getting kicked out of her Gregson house after all of her roommates bail. Without any other choice (and luckily for me), Whit moves into my K-Town apartment with Marley. We spend lots of time long boarding at Kearns High late at night with Little Fur.
Whit and I decide that it's time I buy a house. We start looking for one! I never realized how long of a process it was to buy a house. After months of looking at dumps, fixer uppers, and overly priced bungaloos, we finally found our home! It is such an adorable little home. The inside has been completely remodeled, but there's still a little to buy/do. The yard needs some work. I can't wait to take some time to make that house mine, mine, mine!!

"We Waitin"
311 Day in LV. We all decided to finally partake in one of these events. In attendance, we had Trish, Ryan, Cody, Kaysi, Joey, Jeff, Jesse, Andrew, Hooch and I. Mac and Chelcee also came down for some fun. I am so glad that I went. I am not the biggest 311 fan, and never would've thought I would make it out for a 311 Day. Thank god I did, it was a blast spending so much time with my family! Lots of Love..
Sushi dinner with everyone at China Grill.. Don’t be fooled by the name, this place was fantastic.. and DELICIOUS! Happy Hour Sushi Specials.. Half off rolls.. lol.. not only did they mean half off the price, but half off the rolls too.. Noodle dishes for $30, but well worth the price.. too bad Trish ordered noodles off as an appetizer to find out how much they were.. ha The bathrooms were even cool…

Was a nice day when we planned to sit by the pool, but by the time we got there, it was super windy. There was a cool live band from Park City playing, but we didn’t get to check them out long because sand from the beach was caking to our bodies, ears, faces, and in our hair.. Towels and other UFO’s were flying. Lounge chairs were even pulling dangerous stunts, smacking Trish in the face.. lol…
Back to gambling and hangin in the rooms
By this time, Cody, Kaysi, Jesse, and Andrew have headed back to SL,UT
Hooch, Trish, Ryan, Joey, Jeff and I meet up
Walk the strip for a bit at night
First stop, drinks and restrooms at Planet Hollywood
Taxi ride to Fremont where we all meet back up
Dinner at Tony Roma’s
Then to Hogs and Heifers Bar (Little Biker Bar at one end of the street)
Mac and Chelcee meet up with us there
Walk to Golden Gate Casino to get some cheap (But GREAT) shrimp cocktail
On to the Las Vegas Country Saloon where we played Beer Pong, Danced on Stripper Poles (Not Really), Rode a Mechanical Bull, Had some Drinks, Listened to a Live Band, You name it.. it was a classic country bar..
After hitting the country, we hoped into a lime back to the strip. Our limo almost ran out of gas or something because it was missing on the freeway. We got pretty sick on that ride with the limo slamming back and forth…
Met up with Josie sometime after 2 am. We had to wait for her to get off of work at the Mandarin Oriental Bar, which is super nice bar on the 23rd floor of the hotel in the new city center.
We stayed up until 630 talking and having some drinks, she can really throw ‘em back!
It was nice seeing her since I haven’t seen her for many years.
After hangin’ with Josie, Hooch and I headed to the snack shop to get some munchies to sober up before bed since we had to check out the next morning.. and it was Daylight Savings.. so not only were we losing an hour to drive back to Utah, but we were losing another hour too.. oh poops..
It was a memorable time, one that I will never forget (thanks to this blog and my pictures). I am so glad that so many of us were able to get together for the event. I wasn’t as excited about seeing 311 as I was about being with my family and friends! I love spending time with good people. I didn’t have my camera a lot of the time, but as soon as I steal some pictures, I will add them where needed (bull ride.. haha). I really only missed pictures of Fremont Street and 311.

Just in case you get the munchies, there are snacks available in the room… there to taunt you.. You see, they are on a scale, and once the weight changes, it is automatically charged to your account. Knowing Vegas, this means that they are way overpriced :P There was also a fridge jam packed with items to buy,
but we couldn’t get ours unlocked..
So.. anyways, we noticed that both Cody and Kaysi and Jesse and Andrew were missing one little item…
Can you tell what it is by comparing the next two pictures;
one that is complete and one that is not?
I am pretty sure that Jesse and Andrew didn’t use theirs though, not with each other anyway. Andrew did go up to the room by himself (at least we think) for a bit.

Ain't Gonna Wait.... to Live My Life No More
Procrastination: The act of delaying or putting off something until a later time
I've been meaning to do this for months now :)
A lot of things have happened since my last blog, much of which I am sure I will not remember. Of all the things that I do remember, the most important have been those times I have spent with loved ones, whether it be my family, friends, or life partner. Life is such a special gift, and it is amazing how often I find myself wishing time away (work). I am not so sure why work can feel like a such a burden, especially when I take a look on my life. I am fully capable of doing all of the things that I want to. There is no one stopping me, but myself. I have started to do some of the things I told myself I would do someday, and will continue to venture out in life's world to accomplish these things I've been wanting to for so long... Why wait?
Call it a mid-life crisis, call it what you will, but whatever it is that is pushing me to achieve my goals, thank you!
I've gotta start appreciating all that I have and am. I am so blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life! I don't know how I got so lucky, but I have the best family, seriously, the BEST family! I would do anything for them; their happiness means so much to me. There are so so so many people that mean so much to me! I would not be me without the amazing people I am surrounded by. In fact, I wouldn't be much of anything without them! If only I could show people just how much they really mean to me, and how far I'd really go for them. There's so many types of emotions, all felt by sharing these memorable experiences with those I love most.
I definitely don't have the words to express the passion that rests within me. I feel as though I am so much more... that there is something so much larger in me. I've always felt that there is really something so much bigger for me.. something.. somewhere.. I have a desire to make a change, a hunger.... to make something out of myself.. to make something better of this world..

I don't know how I got so lucky, but I have the best family, seriously, the BEST family! I would do anything for them; their happiness means so much to me. There are so so so many people that mean so much to me! I would not be me without the amazing people I am surrounded by. In fact, I wouldn't be much of anything without them! If only I could show people just how much they really mean to me, and how far I'd really go for them. There's so many types of emotions, all felt by sharing these memorable experiences with those I love most.
I definitely don't have the words to express the passion that rests within me. I feel as though I am so much more... that there is something so much larger in me. I've always felt that there is really something so much bigger for me.. something.. somewhere.. I have a desire to make a change, a hunger.... to make something out of myself.. to make something better of this world..

And we did put some time in making our costumes that we wore for like 2 hours.. haha
