Annual Zoo Trip with Hooch, Brooke, and Naners

So, for the past 4 (maybe 5) years, Hooch and I have taken our little friends to the zoo. Here are some pictures from this year's visit. Each year we take them for some breakfast, go to the zoo to ride the carousel and the train, look at the animals, and then spend like an hour in the gift shop for the girls to find a suitable present. It's always a fun experience. This year we didn't go until August 25, and it was actually a lot less crowded and not as hot as usual. Brooke was even big enough to ride the carousel by herself this year so I didn't have to ride it.. woot!
After the zoo, we went and had some kid's meals and then took the kids home. It's always fun to spend some time with the little monkeys.

Utah State Fair

Every year, Hooch, Taunica, Kortni and I attend the Utah State Fair. This year Trish and Ryan joined us as well. It was a great time, full of many adventures such as, posing as firemen and mountain goats, eating lots of treats, enjoying the "wild" rides they had, winning prizes, as well as drinkin' some brews.
Posing as Firemen and Mountain GoatsTrish and Ryan's Romantic Ride.. from hell.. Lets just say, I'm not to confident in the rides at the fair.. I skipped out on this one.. Including the Big Yellow Slide, Trish went on 3 rides.. She's much more adventurous (or stupid jk)!
Lets see, some of the treats we ate were: Pickles, Cotton Candy, Pizza, Corn on the Cob, Pretzel and Cheese, Elephant Ears, and so many others.. and yes, I was very sick at the end of the night :P I think other people had some snacks as well... lol

Ryan wanted to see the World's Smallest Horse, and he was the only one.. lol
He coughed up the buck to see it..
Taunica's "Cool" Prize
We went on the Big Yellow Slide, a family tradition that Trish and I can not forget...
Incredibly, it happens to be a tradition for many people... even the sign says so.. lol..
The Walk Up to the SlideAt the top of the slide
It was a fun night! I love spending time with these guys! It was a great night, even though we had to rush after our softball game and change in the car, we made it in enough time to get around to everything we had planned for... well almost.. I didn't get to see the art this year or the bunnies.. so sad :( But still, it was a blast!

"It Took Awhile For You To Find Me" -TImes with Trevor

One of the best shows I've been to... I love him. He is so so so cute! If you ever get the chance to see Trevor, definitely worth it. He is an amazing musician. On the way to the show, Hooch and I stopped for some P.F. Chang's where we enjoyed some Margaritas and Sake Bombs.. Unfortunately, we got a little bit drunk and had a hard time finding Kilby Court. We walked around in circles... at first we were even heading the wrong way!!! We eventually got there after some trespassing warnings and having to relocate to another area.. Our drunk asses were totally in the wrong spot the first time.. However, we made it to the show, and I'm so glad we did. The first band canceled, but Trevor was all we needed.. and much more! Lots of Love for Mr. Trev..

Singing "Om Shakti Om" with his dad

Such a talented cute little man
His show was incredible..

Meeting Cute lil' Trevor after the show.. I had meant to make him a bracelet and give it to him.. I guess we'll have to next time.. He is so cute!!
My cute T-shirt.. Hooch got the same one... we're some hot bitches with these yo!
The best part of the show was when he took my flip from Hooch and introduced himself and the band.. and he got a little recording of the small crowd. Hooch and I look like dorks, it's very funny, but ohhh man, I love Trevor!!! If you wanna check it out, here's a link for it:

"So many gods, but no love for the people
My mama told me that we're all made equal..
What we fightin' for, why we still at war???
Where's the love, where's the love.. yeah...
So many prayers, but where's the prayer for peace
My papa told me that we all must serve and feed
What we fighting for, why we still at war??
Where's the love, where's the love?" Trevor Hall "Where's the Love"

"Take me to the table where we all dine together
Pluck me from the crowd and return me to my sender
Whatever path you follow push on to tomorrow
Love all, serve all and create no sorrow
So many rivers but they all reach the sea
They're telling me he's different but I just don't believe it
Love is the goal, yes and everyone shall reach it
Who ever seeks it
Seen and unseen

I don't wanna a reason anymore about the one I love, the one I love
I don't wanna reason anymore about God above, God above
I just wanna melt away, in all its grace
Drift away into that sacred place
Where there's no more you and me, no more they and we, just unity..." Trevor Hall "Unity"

Where there's no more you and me
No more they and we..
Just UNITY

So much love :P
